How We Install Your Timber Floor
Depending on the type of flooring and what’s underneath, we offer a range of installation methods to suit your space:
Nail or Screw Fixing – Boards are either secret-nailed or face-fixed directly onto joists, battens, or plywood.
On Battens – Treated pine battens are laid over the foundation layer of your floor, and the floorboards are installed on top.
Plywood/Chipboard Over Foundation Layer – We first lay a solid plywood/chipboard base over the foundation layer of your floor, creating a strong, level surface before installing the timber.
Direct Stick – Boards are glued and pinned directly to a concrete foundation of your floor, giving a solid and seamless finish.
Floating Floors – Ideal for engineered or laminate options, these are laid over foam underlay without being fixed to the foundation layer.
